Born and raised in New England, Kevin Lawrence has radio in his veins thanks to having a deejay for a dad. Kevin's career has covered both sides of the country, including an internship at Boston's WFNX; one show as a sidekick at WKVT in Brattleboro, Vermont; Sunday mornings at KHTQ and random part-time work at KDRK, both in Spokane, Washington; and finally landing in Oregon with his voice having been heard in Portland, Eugene, Medford, Albany, and now Klamath Falls.
Kevin is also a musician and has played drums off and on, though more off than on, for more than 25 years. Finally giving in to the fact that he'll never play for Barry Manilow, he settled in with TemperMental, The Invisible Beatniks, and 49 Fingers - a few popular bands in the Willamette Valley. In a recent interview with Wayne Newton, editor of 'Vegas and the Lounge Lizard' magazine, Kevin said, "I was really hoping to bring my mediocre playing and east coast attitude to Barry's entourage, but alas, that was not meant to be."
Kevin lives up on The Terrace with his beautiful wife - Melody, two awesome kids - Hillary & Elric, three needy cats - Lola, Furple & Tara, two dogs - Coconut & Porter, and a 55-gallon tropical fish tank. While not making a mockery of himself on the radio, he enjoys making music, reading fictitious stories, watching bad horror movies, drinking great micro brew, computing on amazing Apple computers, (falling) down hill skiing, palm trees, gum balls, and proving time and time again that FPS is a schmuck.
