What do you do for a living?:
I am a hash slinger extraordinaire. A spatula flipping, tong toting, clever wielding life long madman of the kitchen, amen.
Tell us about yourself (tell us about your family, your hobbies, interests, etc):
I moved my wife and daughter to Klamath Falls about 3 years ago from Louisville, KY. Since then I have been crazy busy opening 2 new restaurants, revitalizing a bar and grill and growing a catering company. I have had time to squeeze in some extracurricular activities though, one of which produced my three month old son!
Tell us your fitness history (was there a time where you in shape? If so, what happened?? Were you always out of shape?):
I have always been an outdoors enthusiast. I have spent many hours backpacking and hiking in remote places so that seemed to keep me in good shape. As busy as I have been lately extra activities have been curbed and my weight has increased.
What made you enter the Belly Buster?:
I have been talking and talking and talking about being in better shape and I realized that my mouth wasn't getting the job done and that I actually had to be proactive. I heard about the contest on the radio and decided to give it a go.
What are your goals in the Belly Buster?
I would like to have a well toned body and strong lungs, that is all. Anything else goes above and beyond my expectations
What do you think will be your biggest challenges in the Belly Buster??
December. December is the busiest month of the year for me and it is going to be a real challenge making time for the gym. I will find the time, though.
Wait....maybe it's not being able to drink beer!
What are your long term fitness goals, for when the Belly Buster is over??
I hope to have pizza and beer again someday beyond that I will continue my fitness and nutrition schedule. I feel f#@%ing great already!
